1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk - Rare I6 - Beautiful Driving Car!
The Studebaker Hawk series appeared in 1956 and represented a drastic departure from the norm of the era. It was svelte, athletic, powerful, and had wholly unique Raymond Loewy-inspired styling. This sharp 1959 Silver Hawk was restored in the mid 90's in AZ before driving cross country to PA where she enjoyed 15 pampered years prior to making the move to WI in 2013. Rare to begin with, as only 7,788 Silver Hawks were produced in 1959, this is one of only 2,417 with the durable I6 170cid engine. Shifting gears is done via the 3spd on the column with OD for highway cruising. Despite an older restoration, this car has been lovingly maintained over the past few decades by only two owners and she is a multiple award winning car at regional/local shows. Coker wide whites were new in 2015. Clutch replaced in 2013. Recent services include new water pump and rebuilt fuel pump in June 2021. Stand out from the crowd with this beautiful finned Hawk!
